Early Life
Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron was born on December 21, 1977, in Amiens, France. The eldest child of two doctors, Macron came from a non-religious family.
Education and Career
Macron attended the Jesuit school La Providence, where he became fascinated with politics. After graduating from École Nationale d'Administration, Macron worked as an investment banker.
Political Career
In 2014, Macron was appointed Minister of the Economy, Industry, and Digital Affairs under President François Hollande. In 2016, he founded the political movement En Marche! (Onwards!) and ran for President of France.
Presidency
Macron was elected President of France in 2017, becoming the youngest person to hold the office since Napoleon Bonaparte. His presidency has been marked by a focus on economic reform and European integration.
Personal Life
Macron is married to Brigitte Macron, a former high school teacher. The couple has three children and one grandchild.
