Gauff Defeats Sabalenka in Three Sets

COCO Gauff has reached the US Open final after defeating Aryna Sabalenka in three sets. The 18-year-old American won 6-1, 6-4, 6-4 to become the first American teenager to reach the US Open final since Serena Williams in 1999.

A Dream Come True

"This is a dream come true," said Gauff. "I've always wanted to play in the US Open final and now I'm here. It's an amazing feeling." Gauff will face Iga Swiatek in the final on Saturday. Swiatek is the world No. 1 and has won the last two Grand Slams.

Gauff is hoping to become the first American woman to win the US Open since Sloane Stephens in 2017. She will be the youngest player to reach the US Open final since Maria Sharapova in 2004.
